UI design for a contemporary Italian restaurant. Seasonal cuisine, editorial photography, and an intimate atmosphere that sets the mood before a single word is read.
Terra & Fumo is a contemporary Italian restaurant built around seasonal ingredients, local producers, and an intimate setting. Too many restaurant websites feel interchangeable, functional but forgettable.
Most restaurant sites bury the menu behind a PDF and make reservations hard to find. The goal here was to avoid those patterns and let the warmth of the restaurant come through on screen.
The goal: translate a physical, sensory experience into a site that makes visitors feel the restaurant before they're asked to book a table.
Full-bleed editorial imagery with copy overlaid. The food speaks before the text does, with atmosphere established in the first second.
The menu is part of the website, not a PDF. Sectioned, scannable, with prices and descriptions. Readable on any device without pinch-zooming.
A full editorial photo grid lets the space, the light, and the plating do the persuading. Before a visitor reads a single line of copy, they've already felt what an evening at Terra & Fumo looks like.
From the full-bleed hero to the photo gallery and the inline menu, every section earns trust before it asks for anything. Visitors arrive as strangers and leave wanting a reservation.
I'm open for freelance work and collaborations. Let's build something together.
